Hello everyone. How many of you have gone to summer camp? I haven’t, but the two girls in To Night Owl From Dogfish do! Written by Holly Goldberg Sloan and Meg Wolitzer, is a great book with a surprising ending. This book was full of entertainment and holds a story about the true meaning of friendship, and always being there for each other. Another reason I like this book was already mentioned. When I started reading the last six or so pages, I got a total shock. It wasn’t how I pictured the book ending at all! But it was the perfect thing to wrap the story up, expected or not. Anyway, now that I’ve been talking non-stop about this great book, I won’t keep you in suspense. What I will do instead, though, is tell you what To Night Owl From Dogfish is about.

This book is about two girls, called Avery Bloom and Bett Devlin, who are total opposites. While Avery is afraid of everything, though mostly drowning, and is organized, Bett is adventurous, bold, and loves surfing and other water sports. But they’re both being forced to go to a summer camp called CIGI. Unfortunately, this is because their single dads fell in love and might even get married. The two girls will do anything to stop becoming sisters, but while they’re at summer camp and their dads are on a motorcycle trip in China(yep, you read that right), Avery and Bett are starting to form a close friendship. But things start to fall apart when the girls get banned from the camp and their dads want to come home early. Even worse, the men are starting to question their love for each other… Can Avery and Bett get their dads back together so they can stay friends, and maybe even sisters? But problems are rising up out of nowhere! From new boyfriends, and an unlikely actress to a different summer camp  and even a trip to the hospital, will the two besties come out on top? Or will their friendship come crashing down? Read the surprising ending in To Night Owl From Dogfish.

This book was such a blast to read, and it really showed how the most different of people can become the best of friends. A really fun book, I already can’t wait to read it again. And if you try it out(I really suggest that you should), then I hope you feel the same. Take care, and see you next time!
