Have you heard of the writer Roald Dahl? Chances are that you have. Maybe you’ve read some of his books. That would include stories like James and the Giant Peach, The BFG, or Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. This very famous author also wrote Matilda. Maybe you’ve read it, and maybe you haven’t, but either way, I’ll be talking about it today! Yes, I know that rhymed. But let me not keep you waiting any longer. Matilda really is a wonderful story, with many amusing chapters, hard feelings, and an end that you will fall in love with. I present to you. MATILDA.

You may have already figured out who this story revolves around, but I will still tell you. A wonderful little girl named Matilda. Matilda is very sweet, polite, and talented in a way so extraordinary that I cannot even tell you. I have decided to leave you wondering. Anyway, Matilda deserves acknowledgement for her magnificent brain (whoops, spoiler), yet she doesn’t get much from her cruel and heartless parents. They hardly notice her at all. Just enough to call her a nuisance, an ignorant little child, and much more. So Matilda is excited when the time comes for her to go to school, but what she finds there is almost as bad. The awful headmaster, Miss Trunchbull, flings kids out the window, over the school gate, and generally quite dislikes small children. Matilda is terrified of the frightful woman, but when she discovers that she may be the only one who can end her evil reign, the young girl has no choice but to try. With a little help from her friend Lavender, and a lot of help from her kind, supportive teacher Miss Honey, Matilda has the right  determination to succeed. But does she have the right family?

I did really love this one lots. For me it had the right combination of entertainment, amusement, and sadness. Just beware. A sensitive person may be shedding slight tears by the end of this book. Matilda’s end is so amazing and heartwarming, but I don’t want to give too much away. If you like stories of sweetness, of a girl with a driven mindset, then you will most likely love this wildly perfect tale by Roald Dahl. Trust me. You haven’t seen anything yet.
