It’s not hard to say that this book isn’t the best book ever. Actually, it’s really not the best of books at all. All that said, I usually wouldn’t be telling you about a book as “okay” as this one. But I wanted to share it with you guys because, in the end, it actually has a pretty good life lesson hidden underneath the “okay” part of it. Anyway, now I can tell you about the book itself.
It’s about this girl called Lily, and she is part of a book club with some other girls. The problem is that all the other girls LOVE baking, but Lily is basically a disaster in the kitchen! On top of all that, her band, the Dots, are trying to get their first ever gig. But things start to fall apart fast. When Lily is asked to basically be in charge of her friend’s big birthday bash, though, Lily starts to get a little TO busy. Things get even worse when her friend’s other friend wants Lily to make elaborate treats for the party. Yikes! And to top it all off, her friend’s other friend hires the other band to play at the birthday party INSTEAD of Lily’s band, the Dots. Because of that, Lily loses her band mates and needs to get back on track.
So that’s what the book, Frosting and Friendship, is about. It wasn’t my slice of cake(ha, ha😂), but maybe it’ll be yours! This is a book that some people could like, and some could not. Really, it just depends on the person. See you next time! Bye!
