Hello! Do you like mystery stories? I sure do, and along the way I’ve acquired a collection of mystery writers whose books I love. Some you may have heard of, but others maybe not. So, without any more hesitation, start reading the list below!

  1. Agatha Christie – This Queen of Crime’s books are a classic go to when craving a good, intriguing murder mystery. She has a handful of memorable series, such as the Hercule Poirot books and the Miss Marple mysteries, though many of her stand alone novels are also captivating, especially one of her most famous books And Then There Were None. (Ps. This story is my favorite book of all time!)
  2. Jenn McKinlay – Looking for a cozy mystery that’s three quarters murder and one quarter romance? You’ve come to the ‘write’ place! (See what I did there? Wasn’t it funny? It was funny, ‘write?’ Okay, okay, I’ll stop.) Her A Library Lover’s Mystery series is so witty and fun that I once read one in just a single day! If you’re interested in reading about Lindsay’s exciting adventures, the first book is called Books can be Deceiving. McKinlay also has many other books as well, so please! If you love lower key mysteries (as I can sometimes), go check this fabulous author out!
  3. Carolyn Keene – Though this is simply a pen name, that doesn’t mean that the books written by this author aren’t amazingly written! The Nancy Drew books, both the classics and newer versions, Nancy Drew Diaries, have my mind whirling as I race to figure the answer out before Nancy herself! These mysteries also provide originality, which I love because the plots are different than your standard mystery novel.
  4. Octavia Spencer – This American actress also wrote a kids mystery series called Randi Rhodes, Ninja Detective! There’s only two books this this series, but they are still well worth your reading time! You will connect with the characters and find yourself leaning in to find out what happens next! The book is called The Case of the Time Capsule Bandit, in you what to read these exciting stories.
  5. David Baldacci – This author is famous for his mysteries and thrillers! For gripping, on the edge of your seat reads, go to this guy! Having written around 40 plus books, he mainly writes series, which includes the Amos Decker series and the Will Robie series, along with many others. I have recently just started to get into this books but I can already tell that David Baldacci is going to be one of my favorite authors!

Well, there you have it folks! I hope you enjoyed and all the mystery lovers out there may have found books to read by a new author! And if you have a favorite mystery author that I didn’t list above, please let me know in the comments. I love to hear from you!
