I have dogs on the brain today, and so I decided I’d share with you all my poem about them. But first, I wanted to ask you if your dog, if you have one, likes to take baths, or fears the dreadful shampoo. If you answered the second, then you could find this poem relatable!

The Bath: A Tragic Tale

The splashing fills my ears

The water swirls in a circle

A tsunami

The click of the bottle opening

The shampoo spirals out

Please, no!

The squish of the shampoo in my fur

The suds smell like lemons

Down the drain goes the dirt

The leaves and the stench

OH NO!

ACK!

The horrors have happened

And I’m clean once again!!
