Hello guys, welcome back to Fun Book Reviews! Today I’ll be telling you about the first book in the series, Unicorn Princesses. It’s called Sunbeam’s Shine and it’s the key book to read before you read the rest of the series. Otherwise you’ll be asking questions like, “how did Cressida get a magical key?”, “who are these unicorn princesses?”, and, “why do the unicorns wear gemstones around their necks?”. If you haven’t read this series before, none of that stuff will make sense to you. But don’t worry, because I’m going to tell you all about this book and the amazing series.This series, Unicorn Princesses, is about a girl named Cressida who found a magical unicorn kingdom and befriended the seven unicorn princesses that lived there. Throughout the series, Cressida goes on many adventures to help the unicorns.This series is all about friendship and believing in magic.

The first book in this magical series is where all the magic begins. It’s about a girl named Cressida who has always believed in unicorns and secretly wants to be able to see one. Well, one day she and her parents are out taking a hike and, just as they were turning back, Cressida spotted something glistening under some leaves by a oak tree. Curious, she bent down to pick it up. It was a old key with a sparkling glass ball at the end. Cressida kept the key and ran back home. But later she decides to put it back where she found it in case it belonged to someone. So she went, and that’s when she saw a unicorn. Cressida found out the unicorn has lost her magic gemstone and only a girl who believes in unicorns and can see them can get it back. So she excitedly agreed to go back with the unicorn, who’s name is Sunbeam, to the magical land of the unicorn princesses. When she gets there she is greeted by all of the other princesses. But with no time to waste, Cressida hops on Sunbeam and they go to Sunbeam’s realm. In the realm she meets talking cacti,  talking dunes, and she sees a flame-bite. When they got to searching, Cressida realized the cacti and the dunes were in a big fight. They used to big great friends but ever since they started accusing each other of stealing Sunbeam’s jewel, they became enemies. Then, when Cressida was talking to the cacti, she figured out where the gemstone is and hatched a plan to get it. The only problem is that the dunes and the cacti will have to work together. Can they forgive each other and help to get Sunbeam’s magic gem back?

I love all the magic in these books, and this first book is the starting point that will get you hooked on this series if you love unicorns. I will say, they are very short and take only a little bit to read, but that said, these books make a great entertaining read if you need a break from the hard stuff! Goodbye for now! Happy reading!!
