Wow, this is a great book! Bob is by two authors(Wendy Mass and Rebecca Stead)who work together to create this massively good book. Bob is about a 10 year old girl named Livy, short for Olivia, who travels to Australia to see her grandma, where she hasn’t been since she was 5 years old. When she gets there, she didn’t recognize anything(except, of course, her grandma)! The only thing she remembers is a weird chicken. Even that she has a hard time remembering. The weird chicken that she only half remembers is not a chicken. It is a green creature dressed in a chicken costume. He is named Bob.

Bob has been waiting for Livy to come back to Australia for 5 years, ever since she made a promise to help him find out what, and who, he truly is. When Bob finds out that Livy doesn’t really remember him, he gets very upset. When she was there last time, they had become best friends. Now, Livy only faintly remembers him as a weird chicken. Livy is now very different then the 5 year old version of herself, and Bob likes the 5 year old Livy a little better than this new Livy. Even though Livy has changed a lot, she still wants to help Bob find out what, and who, he really is.

This funny and heartwarming story is going to leave you on the edge of your seat at the end of every chapter, making you as curious as ever to find out what, and who, Bob is. A great thing about this book is how every 1 or 2 chapters, the writers switch which character’s point of view you get to read about. This feature lets you know what each character is thinking. Wendy Mass also wrote the Willow Falls series, The Candymakers series, the Twice Upon a Time series, and some others. Rebecca Stead has wrote The List of Things That Will Not Change, First Light, Goodbye Stranger, and more. If you read, and like, the book Bob, you might be interested in one of these books or series. I can say personally that I really like the Willow Falls series, The Candymakers series, and I have just finished reading the first book I’ve read in the Twice Upon a Time series. It was really good!
